#27)  Moroba Tanto in Shirasaya. Signed with Rare Signature Bizen No Kuni Ju Osafune Arimitsu Saku

This very nice wide 25.5cm Moroba is a Late Sue Bizen piece with a rare signature of Bizen No Kuni Ju Osafune Arimitsu Saku and dated Tensho ( can't see the year) Nen Ni gGatsu kichi Jitsu ( Feb 1573). The late Bizen smiths made many moroba style of tanto with most of then being small. This one is a larger one. The width at the machi is 29.5mm. As always there is alot of hataraki inside the hamon which goes down the front and all the way down the back. It is full of kinsuji, sunagashi and strings of inazuma making it a fabulous study piece. The hada is also very nice with some masame running with itame. It is in shirasaya with a two piece gin kise habaki ( silver). It has a NBTHK Hozon certificate from Feb 1 2007.
