BC55 Satsuma Fuzui, Shakudo, Ishime plate tsuba with what looks like an Oak tree carved on it . There is a hawk flying at the top which is in a gold plating as are the leaves. On the back is the very distinctive kao of Tomiyuki. The Tomiyuki is generally read as Fuzui because of his being a student of Hamano Noriyuki which the Noriyuki is called Kuzui. This is a carry over from Hamano Masayuki that is called Shozui. Fuzui's family name was Saito. He moved to Satsuma and produce many pieces that are signed Satsuma Ju Fuzui. This is the fourth piece I have owned and the other 3 were all signed Satsuma Ju.
