Books

We have received many requests for beginning books to aid in the study of  Japanese Swords.  Below are the ones we recommend for the beginning collector. We recommend starting with John Yumotos The Samurai Sword: a handbook. This  book will give you a good background in all the terminology that needs to be learned. Join a Japanese sword club near you, go to the sword shows that are held around the country. Download the information from the NBTHK American Branch website www.nbthk-ab.org on how to handle and look at a Japanese sword.
