FK6 Sambaso Dancers Fuchi Kashira

A great set of fuchi kashira of shakudo and nanako surround these two dancers. Pine branches and cranes signify longevity are on the clothing of the dancer on the fuchi. It was during the Daido era ( 809) that an earthquake occurred and cracks in the ground had smoke and fire coming out. This dance had religious incantations to appease the Gods and hopefully stop openings from getting larger. One dancer has on the okina mask and a fan in his hand. This set is great for collecting but could be mounted along with other great pieces.
