1) Buy Books: Start with John Yumoto's The Samurai : a handbook. This book will give you a good background in all the terminology that needs to be learned. 2) Download the information from the NBTHK American Branch website at www.nbthk-ab.org on how to handle and look at. 3) Join a club near you, go to the shows that are held around the country . There's nothing better than being able to see and hold the artwork to learn about it. 4) Most importantly learn what not to buy.
