Jihada : Is a beautiful uniform o-mokume with prominant Ji-nie, Shinogi-ji is masame
Yakiba: A wide suguba ( straight temper) of nie-deki with ko-ashi and sunagashi, prominent nijuba near the monouchi.
Boshi : is Midare-komi in thick nie and kaeri
Nakago: Is O-suriage tachi, four mekugi- ana,
Kinpun mei: says Shikkake Norinaga :Hon'A ( Hon'ami Koson ) with kao
Sayagaki is by Tanobe Michihiro ,

The Shikkake group was founded by Norihiro during the Kenji era ( 1275- 1278). and in that he left no known swords. His son, Norinaga, is usually taken as the Founder. There were five generations with the work of the first being the most numerous.
This beautiful blade comes with a nice old black lacquer koshirae. Tsuka handle unusual as it is lacquer wrapped paper. Ho bird black shakudo menuki, fine nanako fuchi kashira and a Tachi shaped tembo style iron tsuba. with a white leather sageo
